News Report for Chronicles of a Death Foretold

Chronicles of a Death Foretold
Santiago Nasar is dead. Now the question is who killed Santiago Nasar? And why would they want him dead? At about seven o'clock this morning, Santiago Nasar was found murdered in his kitchen by the police. It seems that Nasar had put up a great fight with whoever wanted to kill him but in the end he lost his life. It appears that not one person was involved but two. Whoever wanted him dead made sure he really was dead. They were not going to spare his life at all.
Police found Nasar's body completely mangled and mutilated. His body has knife wounds every where including his shoulders, palms, back, leg, arms, hands and especially his stomach. Nasar's stomach was slashed so many times that his intestines are dangling every where. One of the neighbors claimed that Nasar walked to his house while holding his intestines in his hand. The neighbor said, "I have never seen such a sight before in my entire life. This man had the courage to hold his intestines and still walked with his head held high like nothing even happened." Nasar was a strong man and still had that pride that the whole entire town knew he had. Even death couldn't bring down this man.
There has been some speculation that the Vicario brothers were the ones who had murdered Santiago Nasar. Some had said that the Vicario brothers were fighting for their family's honor since they believed that Santiago Nasar was the one who deprived their sister of her innocence. All of this started after Angel Vicario's wedding. It turned out that Angelo Vicario wasn't so innocent as many people thought she was.
Santiago Nasar's mother, Placid through her sobs, said "I thought he was in his room at the time, if I had known, I would have opened the door. All of this would not have happened if I only had left the door opened for him to come through and close it." She has been one of the few that has been blaming themselves for the murder. Everyone that has been interviewed had either stated that they had witnessed the incident but most had said they were home. A little girl said, "I was so scared because I have never seen a murder before. I was out shopping when I saw three men running through the crowd that had gathered on the main street of the market. I was a very odd day in town. Every where I looked, I could feel the tension. Everyone was giving each other sad glances all day. After the two men passed by, the crowd followed them. I remember one women saying, "he's in for it now" but I don't what she meant by that until I went with the crowd. Before I even got there I saw the man with his guts and blood all over the place with his eyes bulging out.
One man actually came out and admitted that he knew of the murder but didn't want to get himself involved. He wanted to tell Nasar but he hadn't seen Nasar since the wedding. Women actually came out and said that she saw the Vicario brothers in town after the wedding with two knives saying they were going to kill Nasar. From the looks of things around here many people knew of this murder but were stupid to be afraid and someone lost their life. It makes you wonder what kind of a society we are living in if so many people knew someone was going to be murdered but hadn't made the effort to warn him. What makes you think you won't be next victim of this society?

Haiku History

Haiku Hostory
Haikus are a Japanese form of poetry which were first known as ‘Hokkus‘ rather than haikus the time that it came out. It is a very short form of poetry which is only three lines. It was developed in Japan during the 16th and 17th century from Renga, which is a collaborative poem. The father of haiku is known as Matsuo Basho. There are two other people along with Basho who have been known as the founders of haikus whose names were Buson and Issa.
The history of Haiku’s began in the 1600’s by Matsuo Basho who is considered to be the father of haiku and is known as the first great poet of haiku. He started writing in his journal after he strayed away from writing traditional Japanese poems. It was first called ‘Hokku’ which was the opening stanza of a Japanese poem that had seventeen syllables altogether. It was seen as an independent poem that included prose with paintings. Then it got changed to “Haiku” by Masaoka Shiki during the late 19th century. Matsuo Basho’s poems were focused on a feeling of lightness. Basically living a life with no stress or worries. His poems were based on nature, seasons, feelings, and experiences. The simple form of a Haiku is just three lines, simple words, and grammar.
Today haiku’s are combined with paintings to tell stories and explain the poem a little bit more. There were two famous poets who were known for combining painting with their poems to get their story and meaning of their poems across to readers. Issa’s haiku style is part traditional which to him is very unique. When he writes a haiku, the readers automatically knows what he writes about which are five seasons. The five seasons that he mainly writes about is New Year’s season, spring, summer, autumn and winter. He combined his haiku’s with his paintings known as ‘haiga.’ Haiga is used to tell a story and the meaning of a haiku by using images. Yosa Buson was the main haiku poet in the 18th century who was also known as Taniguchi Buson. He was the center of the Basho movement of 1776. It was an era where Matsuo Basho’s poetic forms of haikus were returning to Japanese literature. Basho’s poems had a huge influence on Yosa Buson that Buson spent most of his time trying to accomplish what Matsuo Basho has accomplished during his time as a poet. For his paintings to be really good, he studied both Japanese and Chinese art which in the end helped him accomplish his goal of becoming a great poet just like Matsuo Basho. When he did his paintings he used a different name to release his paintings. The name he used was Sha-In.
The structure of haikus has 17 syllables altogether and doesn’t have to rhyme at all. Haiku’s are traditional Japanese poems written in three lines with a rule that’s called 5-7-5. There are 5 syllables for the first and third. The second line has 7 syllables. The most well known poets for haiku’s are Matsuo Basho who is known to many as the father of haiku’s since he strayed away from the traditional way of writing poems. Haiku’s are more focused on nature, the seasons, life, and experiences. Also about people and their every day lives.
Haiku’s are simple, three line poems that have been in traditional Japanese literature for many centuries. It had been influenced by Matsuo Basho, Issa, and Yosa Buson’s different styles and techniques. In later years of Basho, haiku’s were made along with poems to tell the story of the poems and the meaning of the poems. The name ‘haiku’ was given to the short-formed poem by Masaoka Shiki which is what many people today know it as.

Car Rides
Car rides are so fun
When you get dizzy and barf
Your fun is over
I love car rides because when driving I can think more and driving in a car is when I’m at ease. Driving for hours to different cities and states is when I especially love car rides. Me and my family were driving down to the city one day. I hadn’t eaten anything at all because it was really early in the morning, probably about 7:00 A.M. in the morning when we left home. We stopped by a rest stop along the way. There I used the restroom and after grabbed something to eat. I didn’t get to finish eating so I had to eat in the car. After I was done eating, I had no idea how I felt so dizzy. I told my dad to stop at the side of the road so I can get out. When I got out, I couldn’t hold anything back in. Everything I had eaten that morning was out in ten seconds. The rest of the ride to the city wasn’t so fun. The entire time, I felt dizzy and tired.
Stars
Stars are every where
Except not here above the sky
There is too much light
Since I live where there is a lot of lights, stars are hard to see. It’s very difficult to see many stars in the night when you live in the city which is full of streetlights and lights from buildings. I wish I could see the stars in the sky to know what lies. I remember when I went North Carolina last year and I saw many stars in the sky. I was angry at how long it took to get there. I couldn’t stand that long drive. After seeing the stars I was glad that I went and put up with the long drive.

Fat vs. Thin

Have you ever wondered why your teacher gives you bad grades? Why your parents love your siblings more than you? Why your so called "friends" don't want to be seen with you in public? How come you don't get first priorities? Well, there is only one possible answer to that. That answer is you are fat.
People who are fat doesn't deserve to live in this world. They can, but maybe somewhere on a remote island or in outer space. Some where far away from the rest of society. A place where they have their own population of those who classifies to be over weight. By living with people who are thin and beautiful, they are making society unstable. When waiting in line, they take up a lot of space and squishes those around them. Two plane seats are occupied when traveling on a plane and can be uncomfortable to those sitting around them. It doesn't matter where they go, as long they are hidden and are not in the way of people who truly matters. If they move faraway they will be doing everyone a huge favor. No one wants them around because of how unattractive they look. If fat people still lives in the same community or society as thin people, then they should be taxed for their existence. Whether they are waiting in line, walking in the mall, or riding a public transportation, they need to be taxed.
Fat people are not needed. They are unintelligent, have anger issues and is always hungry. For instance if they're hungry, they will snap at you for food until they finally stuff themselves with what ever they can get their chubby hands on. Food is th only thing that seems to be on their mind 24/7. A week ago, an obese boy was reported to have eaten his pet gerbil because he was really hungry. In two weeks, he'll probably change his diet from eating gerbils and other animals to finally eating human beings. Why can't they be like beautiful people and not eat anything at all. The only things going into their stomach should be water. To run a country, government, and a business you need to be smart. They are just a waste of time. Government shouldn't pay attention to their needs because they are going to die anyways. If government interferes, then government can be blamed for their deaths. It could be today or tomorrow they'll collapse and rid this world of the ugliness they offer to the world every day.
Thin people makes the world a beautiful place. They bring happiness into the lives of many while obese brings sadness and gloominess along with pain. They deserve to be awarded for being so beautiful because they are giving us something pleasant to look at. They are capable of running a government through their abilities, skills, and knowledge. Teachers are advised by the government to be giving good grades to students who are thin and not to those who are obese. That way you can have hope for the future of your children and their children. Skinny human beings should be praised as gods and goddesses since they are so good looking. Everyone has to give thin citizens money after staring at them. Giving them the first priorities and opportunities to make out something of themselves. Skinny people are allowed to find true love and also reproduce with other beautiful people.
Over weight human beings can not be loved by any one at all, not even their own parents. Parents with obese children should be ashamed for bringing ugliness into the world and should get severe punishment for this because their children are now blinding others. As a final solution to the problem of having obese people, we should gather each fat people and abandon them on an island that no one knows about. Put them there without any food to survive. All they're going to survive with the water that is surrounding them. How much will you stuff your face?
